“We are all of us stars, and we deserve to twinkle.” --Marilyn Monroe
I don’t talk about it often, but I really like jewelry. From bracelets, necklaces, rings, but not so much earrings. I haven't worn earrings since my high school prom and that didn’t work out so well. It resulted in some blood and a little bit of plus.
Either way, I believe that a stunning necklace or even a simple bracelet can really help pull an outfit together and I wanted to share some of my favorite pieces that I own.
Starting off I have my two necklaces that mean a lot to me are my Star of David Necklaces. Yes, two. The first one was a Christmas gift from my mom and the other one from Poland. I believe it’s from Krakow, Poland, from a little tourist shop. I love it.
If I’m wearing a high neck shirt with no design on it, I’ll try and wear something simple. One of my favorite simple pieces is this gold necklace with balls around the neck. It’s so plain, but it brings the outfit together. My grandmother got it for me for Christmas a few years ago. Another piece I like that’s a little more casual is this long chain piece. It holds three different charms on them. A little bar that says Kappa Kappa Gamma, an emerald stone, and a key.
If I’m wearing a low neck or a scoop neck shirt, then I’ll wear more of a tighter, choker necklace. One of my personal favorites is this gold piece from Italy. It has Mother Mary on it. It was a gift from my other grandma when she came back from Italy. Another one of my favorites is this purple heart necklace. This was gifted from my mom and it is one of my first nice pieces of jewelry.
When it comes to rings, I have two or three select pieces that I would wear on a regular basis and that’s my class rings and (because I’m a little basic) I have my zodiac sign on jewelry. It’s simple.
There is one ring that I love more than anything and it's my tanzanite ring from my mom. I got it a few Easter’s ago.
I mentioned how I don’t wear earrings. One reason is because I accidentally let the holes close over the years. I also never really like how they felt, especially the dangling ones. They made my ears feel like they were going to fall off.
The last few pieces of jewelry are bracelets. One of them is a Pandora charm bracelet that doesn’t have that many charms on it. I sort of gave up on it. Not because I don’t love it, but because I could never get the clasp open to add the charms. The other is from Jenny Bird. I got this from a Fad Fit Fun box and I really love this piece. I like the multiple chains and how they’re all different. It sits loose on my wrist, but it fits perfectly.
I have my Alex and Ani bracelets (even my knock off one). I have two sorority ones from Kappa Kappa Gamma. One’s just a cute wave like pattern, flowery pattern and the other has a sapphire in it, which is the stone for the organization. My favorite one has to be my three piece Water Lily Set. The last one I have is my Cozumel bracelet.
Those are all of my favorite pieces. I might have other pieces, but these are just a few of my favorites!
