“I’m not only putting on my big girl pants. I’m putting on my bitch bra, my shit kicker boots and my spiked leather belt with the fuck you buckel. So don’t tell me to “deal with it.” I got this shit covered”-- Unknown
As much as I love winter fashion with all the sweaters, dark colors, and cute winter jackets I still have a problem with it. I can’t wear knee length boots because my calves are too big. It’s ridiculous. Now, I’m probably overreacting because I can be a little dramatic, but when it comes to having to find good knee length boots, it’s nearly impossible for me. I’m happy I found two good pairs, but other than that I can’t find anything. Almost every Christmas, my mom would buy me these really cute knee length boots. My mom is great when it comes to picking out clothes and if I’m going to be honest, she really got me into fashion and makeup. While my mom is great at fashion advice for me, she’s not the best when it comes to picking out footwear for me. I love her, but my mom forgets we have different size feet. I’m a size 10 wide (maybe if I put it in a blog, she’ll have a reference to look back on) so finding that in a knee length boot (or most shoes) is a small challenge for me. I blame both my calves and feet for that. I think the reason my calves are so big is because I used to rollerblade a lot when I was younger and it’s all built up muscles. At least I hope that’s the reason. The worst part is that I live in the midwest where the weather is very unpredictable. One day it could be sunshine and rainbows and the next day it could be a total downpour with three tornados. One day it could be sunny and the next it could snow up to 3 feet and I’m swimming through snow. Regardless, if I can’t find boots that go up to my knees (or higher) then snow is going in my boots. Now, this isn’t the biggest deal in the world. There are obviously more important things that are going on and that need way more attention other than my fat calves. I just wanted to share something funny with everyone. So in conclusion, either I need to hand pick my shoes for myself or I’ll just go barefoot.
